Moles
Moles are actually pretty simple to me. Its not that hard because its just basically math. I feel so proud that I understand something in this class atleast! 6.02*10^23 is a big number though. I'm a little lost when I have to write everything out because showing my work isn't my best skill. I like to do the math though, its easy. I took my test on the last chapter test and I was so depressed about how badly I did. It was completely heart-breaking. I guess next time is the only chance I have. No more mistakes from here on.
School is in Session
Chemistry has officially made a disconnection with me. I've been gone for two weeks and I'm so lost in class. We're going over the Lewis Dot Structures and stuff that we've kind of gone into over the whole year but still, I'm confused. I understand the valence electrons and how to find out how many each element has but now we're talking about bonds and moles and electronegativety. On top of all this, math is not any better and I'm failing history. English isn't too bad but being in Mr. Jackson's class means that I've got a lot of stuff to make up, mainly quizzes. So now every morning I'm in Mr. Jackson's english class making up quizzes and after school I'm in Ms. Ajemian's class doing homework. Its crazy but I have to do this. Unfortunately I think I may fail history this semester. Next semester things WILL be different though. I know I'm better than this....I suppose it's time that I show it.
India Trip - Parte Tres - Stressing About School
So I've just realized that I didn't keep up with any homework whatsoever. I didn't have time so it's not like I just didn't do it, but now I've got so much to do. I'm worried mainly about history, chemistry, and english class. I havn't been in either of them in two weeks and I'm freaking out. Finals are gonna be two weeks after I arrive home and now I have a load of things to take care of. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't dare turn back time to have made the choice not to go to India but I'm just a little stressed. I just found out that I missed a lot in precalculus too so now I'm about to have another break down. I'm gonna go sit in the corner now. Goodbye.
India Trip - Parte Dos - The Wedding
I've been here for a week now and I'm just enjoying every minute of it. There is nothing better than being here. No joke. I love having my cousin, his wife, my grandma, and my nephew here. All my family have been great to me. And as a plus, I've gotten a lot of comments on my looks. Apparently, in India, I'm pretty! I know that sounds strange but its quite nice to be complimented once in awhile, especially while being chased by my big sister when she's trying to give me a hug. The wedding is today and I'm getting really emotional. My cousin and I are very close and I can't believe he's finally getting married. I don't know whether I should be happy for him or I should be breaking down and crying. Its hurting to see him get married but I really am glad that he's found someone. So now the wedding is gonna go on and I've got to get ready so.....I guess til next time :)
India Trip - Parte Uno - The Flight
I'm in India!! I arrived here Monday, the 16th. The flight was really horrible. The first leg of my flight was from here to Heathrow, London and it wasn't what I expected. I had planned to watch movies the whole way but, to my luck, my screen wasn't working properly. I got upgraded to first class though. You may think that's amazing and I had fun but no. I sat in the middle between one very large person who kept breathing on my and one strange girl that kept touching me so naturally, I moved back to my original seat and just listened to music the whole way. The second leg of my flight was a little better but the best part of all was getting off that plane and seeing my family. That was really the best part of all.

Onion Alloy Lab
I really liked this lab. It was hilarious to see my lab partners so fascinated. I was too tired but I still tried to pay attention. Once the metal started to melt, Judy and Hazel started poking at it and I began to crack up with their freakish excitement. I still got confused because of how I never really understand the lab until after we're done with that but I liked the lab in general. It was pretty fun and cool to see. Well until next time....

Visible Spectrum Lab
What can I say about the visible spectrum lab? It was long for sure. I guess I didn't really like this one because my whole group, as well as I, were were falling asleep. We were all so tired while doing this lab, there was no enthusiasm. I thought it was creative though. I never knew there could be so many different numbers and colors associated with just one little test tube of liquid. I have to admit though, there wasn't much that I understood about this lab. I didn't really get the whole point so trying to write about it isn't really working out. Oh wells, there is always next time to figure out the lab. Til then...I'm gonna watch a movie :)
All Hallows Eve!
I love Halloween! Its my favorite time of the year!! With all the decorations, the candy, the people with their costumes...it's so much fun. This year it was a little boring for me because I didn't go trick or treating and didn't dress up but still I made the best of it. Friday, I dressed up as a vampire's mistress but that costume wasn't really my best costume ever. Especially since it scared some of the children in child development. Past years, I was a fat plumber, Beetlejuice, and even Jim Root from the metal band, Slipknot. But I guess with all the stuff that's going on this year, a vampire's mistress is fine. On the day of Halloween though, I spent most of my time doing homework and I never dressed up :( Around 7 o'clock is when I actually had fun by going to a friends house and hanging out with a big group of friends. One got so excited that I finally came that she fell down the stairs! It was DEFINITELY a night to remember. Despite all these things, I still love Halloween :D
Casino Royale Homecoming
Wow, what a night that was. Homecoming this year was down right crazy. I can't even begin to describe how confused I was. First there were technical problems, then a girl dislocated her knee?? It just had to be a night that I paid $20 on a ticket, 3 times that much on a dress, and another $10 for pictures for all this to happen. Though I must admit, the last few minutes of the dance were so worth while because everyone was trying to make it last. By this time, all my friends finished their beautiful homecoming pics and were dancing as well. So no doubt about it, "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift was the hit of the dance :)

Flame Lab
Wow so the flame lab was definitely one of my favorite labs so far. Personally since I like fire, it made it all the more better :) The colors confused me though. Sometimes it was really easy to tell which color there was coming in the flame but sometimes I didn't even notice a difference in the substances we were putting in the flame (because the colors looked the same). It's crazy! Plus, I don't like being confused. Especially when there's fire in front of me. But all in all, the flame lab was pretty cool. Who'd have thought that every element makes a different colors. Like the colors in the rainbow!

Dry Ice
I really liked using the dry ice. I see dry ice every Halloween so it wasn't much of a surprise to see the gas it forms and how when you add it in water with soap, the bubbles form. The dry ice is a lot of fun to deal with though. Personally my favorite was to put the dry ice on the table and watch with the slighest push, the ice would slide across the table so fast. Dry ice makes everything more fun :)
Penny Lab
The penny lab was an interesting lab. It was fun to work with fire to change the penny's color. I thought it was kind of strange that a penny's color could change but then I realized that of course, the penny was just coated with the grey chemical and the fire reacted with the chemical to change the color. I really liked the penny lab even though my penny's color didn't fully change to gold. I was hoping it would but there's always next time.
